Inspired by my friend Tam, I did the above style (I hope she doesn't mind me bitin' her, hers looks better than mine). It was pretty easy to do, took less than 5 minutes. And no pins, so by the end of the work day, it was coming apart at the top, lol (and I have no pics of that!). So I really like this style, next time I will take a little more time with it. I need to get a professional photographer to take pics of me, because I loved this in person, but in photos it's blah.

Q ... so nice to hear from you. :-) Email me sometime.

Thanks for the compliment. As far as tutorials, ... lol. I don't think I am good enough to do one, but here are a couple from Shawnta:

As far as the face, wasn't feeling like smiling, and I definitely regret not smiling for the pics.

Your hair looks so beautiful like that. Good job! Too fly honey! Too fly! (and yes, I said the throw back word "fly"LOL)

Are you kidding me? You worked that style honey. I loved how it transformed you so easily. It just gives little pizzazz when we are feeling tired of the same thing. Girl you can use and recreate anything I do. We can learn this stuff together. I did have to use one bobby pin two at most cuz these babies are thick and you know it.

I love how yours turned out because you have height and you didn't have to pull it as tight as I did since your hair is longer. I think you did a bang up job. So happy you tried it. More importantly, thanks for posting a pic of it. The next time it won't even take 4 minutes to do

I've been away too long! I like this style. Five minutes and you have a beautiful style. I'm going to try it, but I'm not timing myself.

Thanks, Carmen. It's really quick and easy.

Looking good girl! I told my friend about you after she insisted that freeform/organic wasn't a look that we could look good in. Of course, she's following your lead now. I'm keeping an eye on her. Keep doing you...

Oh wow @ mscocontxus. Thanks, I'm trying. Of course, I'm not a person that styles my hair a lot or a fashionista, I like to think of myself as a natural beauty. ;-) But I think that anyone can work with any style, as long as the confidence is there.
